“ If i'm in the mood for Birria tacos I always come to this food truck. Food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. However, on my last visit the truck overcharged me $0.50 and I saw a previous review mentioning this but didn't notice until I did the math when I got home. Hence, the 3.5/4 stars. I know it's just 50 cents but it's the dishonesty that bothers me. Make sure to calculate beforehand! ”

“ Came here in a rainy night, so the line wasn't too long, only a couple people in front of me. The area was super busy, but luckily someone was leaving when we drove in. The truck is well lit, and the people were nice. The food took some time to be made, but we knew it was made to order. The tacos weren't as crispy as we would've liked but the flavor was definitely there. A lot of the beef and tortilla fell into the consome, but it was delicious for eating after the tacos were done. I wouldn't go out of my way for these, but they're solid. ”

Stumbled across this gem of a food truck last year since we were staying at a nearby hotel It was a chilly December night and these slightly-spicy birria tacos were the perfect way to warm up!! The consommé is sooo flavorful (but not too greasy) and the meat is bursting with flavor. We must've eaten here 3+ times in our short trip here. A year later; I'm still thinking about going back to NYC just to eat this again, definitely one of the top highlights of the trip. ”

“ I live literally down the down from this truck and I love how convenient it is for me to just walk there. Line some times can be long but it moves fast . That's the best birria taco you will ever have in nyc . I tried everything they have on the menu and they were all super delicious . The meat and the spice they use and the sauces they all just go together. If you get tacos from there make sure you get their soup too ! ”

“ Excellent food. My niece told me about this place. Since she lives around there, she keeps talking about it every time she comes to visit. This time, I was in her area, so I decided to pick up an order to go. We had tacos, soup, and Tastade.. They are just awesome, as she mentioned. I'm glad that we picked it up. I did not get to see imside of the truck since I was driving, and there was hardly any parking, so I had to stay in the car. But truck looks nice and clean. ”

“ Long over due review. So good, go early or at a random time when the lines are short, otherwise you may wait a while. Price-reasonable food- try it all, because it's all good in its own way. Ambience- excellent, truck doesn't get better than this. Hours are later, so you won't get be able to have lunch here, unfortunately, but that makes sense considering they see a huge following at the times they are there after 5pm. ”

“ I've lost count of how many times I've returned to Birria-Landia. Let's just say I'm a certified birria addict thanks to this magical food cart. Out of all the times I've ordered here (seriously, 100% of the time but I'll say 99% justttt to be safe), nothing has ever gone wrong. They have a straightforward menu with just four dishes (excluding drinks), and they've absolutely perfected each one: consomé ($4.5 for a small, $6 for a large), tacos ($3.5), mulita cheese quesadilla ($4.5), and tostadas ($3.5). Note: If you order online, it's an extra $1 for each. I always go for the two mulita cheese quesadillas - can't resist that cheesy goodness (absolute self-destruction for someone whose lactose intolerant but it's so good). My sister, on the other hand, swears by their tostadas, which she claims are a fuller (and more flavorful) version of their tacos. And she has a point; tostadas are typically served with a crisp tortilla that holds up better to toppings, giving you more crunch and flavor in every bite. Of course, we pair this with their irresistible (large, always!) consomé - savory, homey, and not too salty. I'm fully convinced that simplicity is their strength, and they've nailed every item on their menu. ”

“ Maybe I'm spoiled from California, but I feel like New York street food in general really doesn't compare to that of California's. I'm not quite sure what's the difference between tacos and birria tacos, but the tacos were pretty good. They double-shelled it to encapsulate all the flavors and stews, which definitely worked for its purpose but I felt like it became a little-bit too carby for me. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, but the winner was definitely the pickled onions. Haha, I'm not sure why but I was obsessed with their pickled onions, I think it's probably one of the best ones I've ever had. Overall, not too sure if this place is mind-blowing per say, but I'm really glad I got to try it out. By the way, it's around $3.50 a taco which I wouldn't say is incredibly affordable but I guess it is famous. ”
